San Isabel Lake
Date: 8/12/2008Fish Caught: 3 Bows
Location: San Isabel Lake
Weather Condition: Partly Coudy in the 60s
It was time to go to the lake again. I figured cooler temperatures and a lot of rain would liven things up at the lake after being so hot. Also it was time to take the pontoon boat out again.
I got to the lake and in the water about 7:20, so had about an hour to fish. I first started a dry fly, humphy pattern. I had tons of fish rising for it but nothing to set a hook on. A little bit later the wind picked up and the fish stopped rising. I then put on a wolly bugger and instantly started catching fish. But it was late and already hard to see if I even had a fly on.
There was a very nice sunset on the lake and was worth going just for that. But it is always nice to catch a few fish as well.
